Title: How to configure Supermodel 64 emulator in Maximus Arcade
Post by: xarcade_Darren on December 22, 2016, 11:37:10 am
Hello,  I am trying to configure the supermodel 64 bit emulator in Maximus Arcade.  The goal is to run the Star Wars Trilogy game..   I would love suggestions on how to accomplish this or if you are aware of another way to run Star Wars Trilogy other suggestions are welcome.   The issue I have is around running full screen (the sega emaultor opens in a window) and the appropriate mappings for the xarcade controls.

Any help would be appreciated

Thank you

Darren

I am trying to figure this exact thing out.  If I do, I'll be sure to chime in.  And if you figure it out, please pass this along.

Good luck

Hi.

I am very new to MA but I guess I figured it how to add Supermodel3 to it:

1 - Since MA does not support it... choose another emulator to trick it. In my case I've choosen Atari 5200.
2 - Configure Atari 5200 parameters for supermodel. In my case I have:

%file -res=640,480 -fullscreen

because I want to run it at 640x480 in fullscreen

Optional:
3 - Extract the Maximus Arcadius.zip file in the Skin directory and replace Atari 5200 pictures by Model 3 pictures. If you want I'll send you my custom made Supermodel3 pictures.
4 - Use a program like Hexedit to edit the Maximus Arcade.exe file and replace the 'Atari 5200' string with 'Sega Mod3' ---> Use it caution. Backup first!

These last two will show proper pictures and names in the frontend.

Thanks for that.  I'll give it a try and see how it goes
