Title: PC Games on Arcade Cabinet? Joystick Emulator?
Post by: MikeMelga on December 21, 2016, 08:42:46 am
Hi everyone.

I have a Jamma arcade cabinet with J-Pac and ArcadeVGA.
I am also using Maximus Arcade.

I have no problem with controls for MAME and other emulators (Spectrum, ...)

My problem is with PC Games. Althought many of them I can simply remap the keys using autohotkey... there are many that only support gamepads/joysticks for one or both players.
I tried an application called VJoy but didn't seem to work.

Is there any way I can map the arcade buttons to a joystick/gamepad fooling the game so it thinks I have them?

Thanks.

See the xbox360 xinput keyboard hack thread stickied at the top of this forum.

A lot of PC games have analog controls or controls that are just too complicated for an arcade cab.
It's a few years old, but.... http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php/topic,134283.msg1384600.html#msg1384600 (http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php/topic,134283.msg1384600.html#msg1384600)

BadMouth,

Thanks for the reply and for pointing me to that xbox360 keyboard hack.
Unfortunately none of the links to download it work  :(

Do you have somewhere I can get it?
