I am in the process of scanning this T-Mek cabinet that I got. I am having a nightmare of a time stitching the various files together. I don't have Photoshop. I normally use Paint.net for my art needs.
Anybody have any any suggestions, ideas, links to make this better? I've tries using Microsoft ICE and it works pretty well, but I can still see the joins.

If you wanna post your scans somewhere I can join them in Photoshop

I've actually got it worked out. MS ICE actually works really well once I did a rough square up in the scans. The art is coming along great. I've started doctoring out the gouges and faded bits.

go download yourself "inkscape" it does a pile of what photoshop does but for free.

Now that I no longer own a design company... I may have to start looking into alternatives to Photoshop once my current design Mac craps out. It's going to be really frustrating relearning all of those key commands though :-)

Older versions of Photoshop could be had off eBay for $20. You can get CS3 for that price which would fit most people's need here.
Beats learning some ghetto open source program like Gimp.

My last gig bought me CS5, current gig got me a CSLive subscription..... I'm the IT guy not the marketing or graphics guy but I always get roped into doing art.

I still use CS3 to do professional work. For what it's worth, I could probably be happy using Photoshop 7. I kept paying for upgrades, and I couldn't see that they did much for me but bloat the software and slow it down. don't need video in my photoshop. Don't need 3d. Once they had image slicing built in and the ability to record and edit actions, I haven't seen much new value (for me)
I've got a CSLive subscription too. Which is nice for moving around machines without having to do installs and license transfers. Otherwise, not any better than older versions as far as I can tell.

I have the latest version of Adobe Photoshop cc 2017 and it has a feature where it "auto-merges" two pictures. It does a pretty flawless job with the click of a mouse. It even adjusts the contrast and levels for you to match them up. I was actually amazed on how well it did it on it's own and I've been stitching photos together manually for years.
You said you already took care of it, but let us know if you need any additional assistance.

Things are going well, but slowly. I need to get a regular flat bed scanner So I can start working on the LARGE pieces. I'm a little scared how much it will cost to get a full art set printed, there'a a lot of square footage here.

you'd be surprised what you can get on craigslist or kijiji for a couple hunskies.

I've seen some with ~$800 worth of printheaeds/ink/paper go for 1000 to 1500.
then you just open your own business of printing arcade art till it pays itself off, then resell it.
