I am new to building arcade or electronics in general, so thanks for being patient.
I've been reading up on building an arcade cabinet and I am reading conflicting information...
Using an iPac 2, can two people play simultaneously? I want to be able to play mortal combat, NBA Jam and street fighter.
I have read things suggesting this requires special programming.
Thanks for the help!

I have the iPac 2. It is specifically built for 2 players In mame. Since you are going for arcade games you should be fine. I doubt you will even need to reprogram keys. I cannot speak for other emulators
Edit: the iPac 2 registers as a keyboard to the computer or raspberry pi. There is an app on ultimate website that can reprogram the keys if you desire but I doubt you would need to for a mame cab. I use mine in the default settings for my pi
