Title: Wg 18K7601 monitor manuals??
Post by: James Hughes on June 11, 2002, 06:39:36 am
Hi all  ;D Hope someone can help me with this problems. I am trying to set my arcade monitor up with AvanceMame but non of the preset resolutions work?? When i select a generic 15khz monitor when it comes to testing the screen goes black so i have to break the program. The only way i can think of getting this to work is to find the exact settings for the monitor. Any help with this monitor would be greatfully apreciated ::)
Thanks to all in advance.

I'm having the same problem. Did you ever find out what to do to fix the situation?

uhm... do you know how to run the vid config helper program for advance mame (ADVV ? i don't remember exactly)

With it you can use different keys to dial in the exact settings for a given resolution to match your monitor.

There was a great resource that walked you through this at the purple mame page (http://how.to/mame)

even if it doesn't match you situation exactly, the info in the whole process is helpful imho.

*shrug*

Title: Need help setting up a Wg 18K7601 monit

I've tried using the video config utility with advancemame "advcfg" and tried to set up the resolutions Las Vegas suggests on his Purple mame page. but I can not get the higher resolutions and it seems that I have to manual config every game to run in a half decent screen resolution. The WG K7601 monitor has a 15.1 - 16.8 khz Hort scan and 47-63 hz vert scan with a native resolution of 400 pixels x 240 lines.

Is the monitor just not capable for display the higher resolutions or does the problem lie somewhere else?
