What's is going on with my iPac I/o,
Overnight my p2 -5/6 are not transmitting.
Button 5 - in hyperHQ, it's coming up as "L" which on ultimarc's site is button 8 - should be "I"
Button 6 - in hyperHQ, it's coming up also as "L" - should be "k"
They are both plugged into their correct slot on the I/O harness...what's happening??? Every other button is functioning properly
-
Ok I've got the 2 buttons that were screwing up working properly in HQ, giving the correct commands
BUT
They are not being used in gameplay...just using sf2 because all six buttons are used, and 2p 5/6 still not responding in gameplay, but properly in HQ.
Any ideas?

Did you check the MAME tab settings for both the default and the specific game for those buttons ? -- might be they were changed at some point so mame is expecting some other input.
-
Negative
Where can I check that?
-
I'm running mame in stand alone and it's also the same issue
Controller is set to "default" which is always what you want for Ultimarc . It's worked no problem.
-
Always something friggin simple
For some reason mame was set to not accept 5+6 when I tabbed into it
Thanks a bunch for the advice!!!

Glad it helped -- Almost didn't respond as I figured you had probably already checked that but like you say it always seems to be something simple like that that gets missed !

The player 1 coin is buggered tho,
I think somethings up with the I/o
I tried band new micro switches and still nothing.
I've reached out to Andy and am waiting to hear from him tonight.
That's kind of an important button. Luckily the p2 coin acts as both for most games...there's a few that don't but I'd like to figure this out.

Maybe the wiring is loose, or the ground kicked out somewhere?
-
Oh I've tried like a madman
It's just the one connection...before it works, after it works so the ground has to be good,
Something else is weird??
