Hi friends,
Does anyone know of a good not too expensive starter printer to do my own arcade graphics for my bartop?
Any suggestions and links will be appreciated

cheap or good quality, pick one.
Your looking for a vinyl plotter and get some good quality air release vinyl to print on too.

not cheap but not stupidly expensive for what I need it, not looking to impress anyone with the quality of the graphics or the vinyl, and don't care if it last for years, if down the road I have to either replace or simply like to change the graphics, I want an inexpensive way to do it myself, so I guess, maybe somewhere in between of cheap and good quality
;)
thanks.

You'd spend less just getting it printed

This -- figure a wide enough plotter to do bartops would need to be probably 26" - 42" so a few to several hundred dollars ( ie. this used 36" plotter is $399 + $300 shipping -- http://www.ebay.com/itm/HP-DesignJet-1055CM-Digital-600dpi-36-Color-Large-Format-Plotter-Printer-C6075B/172388726479?_trksid=p2045573.c100033.m2042&_trkparms=aid%3D111001%26algo%3DREC.SEED%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D38530%26meid%3D2976089d8938460593281947ca200a4d%26pid%3D100033%26rk%3D3%26rkt%3D8%26sd%3D122180517223 (http://www.ebay.com/itm/HP-DesignJet-1055CM-Digital-600dpi-36-Color-Large-Format-Plotter-Printer-C6075B/172388726479?_trksid=p2045573.c100033.m2042&_trkparms=aid%3D111001%26algo%3DREC.SEED%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D38530%26meid%3D2976089d8938460593281947ca200a4d%26pid%3D100033%26rk%3D3%26rkt%3D8%26sd%3D122180517223) )-- then an initial supply of vinyl would mean buying a roll at about $145 for a 36" x 50' roll ( http://www.ebay.com/itm/IJ-Technologies-DG-Adhesive-Backed-Vinyl-DGVNR36-36-x-50-Roll-/331223064006?hash=item4d1e6eddc6:g:HyYAAOSwhDhTj0I6 (http://www.ebay.com/itm/IJ-Technologies-DG-Adhesive-Backed-Vinyl-DGVNR36-36-x-50-Roll-/331223064006?hash=item4d1e6eddc6:g:HyYAAOSwhDhTj0I6)
Then if not printing very often your inkjet nozzles tend to clog so by the time you decide to reprint you'll probably need new ink cartridges which will run another $80 - $250 Depending on if you go original HP cartridges or 3rd party replacements.
So definitely cheaper to just get them printed unless you plan on printing a lot !!

Thanks for the link JDFan, I think this is exactly what I was looking for. Something like this will do perfect for what I need. I only need it for Bartops.
thanks again!

Thanks to everyone for replying to my call for help :applaud:

Your budget and your requirements are out of whack. If you only need it a couple of times over the course of several years it is definitely not worth hundreds of dollars in hardware investment. ???
