Title: Any vendors selling an encoder board?
Post by: telengard on October 21, 2016, 12:56:12 pm
I bought one a LONG time ago from Oscar Controls, and now I could use another one.  It was a turnkey product I just mounted to align with an encoder wheel and it wired up to my OptiPac.

Just wondering what my options are now as I'm trying to utilize a Omega Race spinner.

thanks for any info!

If the Happ "Red Board" is a suitable option. here are several better vendors.   ;D
TheRealBobRoberts (http://www.therealbobroberts.net/parts.html#tbs) carries them (Atari TB optic board A052-1010/1), as do Arcadeshop (http://www.arcadeshop.com/parts.htm#Trackball) (Atari/Happ Trackball Optic Board), and Twisted Quarter (http://www.twistedquarter.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=113_121&products_id=24&zenid=l6uo4g0ceqlmiahj8a62mlsiv2).

Thanks a lot guys, I believe that will work w/ the OptiPAC as I have Happ Trackballs already.

I'll check out the other vendors as well.  I haven't purchased from Bob Roberts in a LONG time.  Does he still require money orders?

He has taken checks for at least 15 years now, however he has currently closed up shop and it is uncertain if he will reopen.
