Not sure how many New Englanders are on the boards, but a big event is coming this week/weekend to RI !
50 classic games, all set to free-play. $10 cover, beer by Revival Brewery! Couple guys from KLOV are running it.

Is it a kid friendly setting, or more of an adult bar? I didn't see any pics on their webpage.

It's 21+
Which is great, but still would be fun if you could bring your kids. However, it will weed out the youngsters and hopefully attract a more mature crowd.

If children never play an arcade machine, it will continue to be a dying crowd. Unfortunately, I have to pass on this event. Not travelling all the way there alone without my daughter. She'd be so pissed didn't bring her! She loves arcade machines.

This is true but it's also only one event. It's the venue that is driving these rules. You can't change the laws regarding a nightclub.
If you're in this region there are some amazing places you can take the kids for arcade action. Most of them are a bit of a drive north but totally worth the effort. PM me if you need some pointers.
That said I might stop by for this but I'm not sure I can fit it into the overall schedule.
