Title: Off The Grid Arcade
Post by: ark_ader on October 16, 2016, 03:38:21 pm
I am wanting a replacement monitor (LCD) for an off grid project.  I looked at the USB monitors but there is no drivers for the raspberry pi or any flavour of Linux.

So now i am looking at a NUC or BRIX to use the USB monitor instead of a for parts laptop.

It has to be a small footprint and run from 5v DC or 12v DC Max.

Needs to run. 84 mame Intel or Amd.  I looked at the E1-1200 already.

Any suggestions?

You'll need a powered hub.

USB monitors have display lag totally unsuitable for gaming. Most of them can't even properly handle movies. They are for spreadsheets and the like.
