Title: Best option to build a controller with two sticks and two triggers?
Post by: rand0MPrecisi0n on October 04, 2016, 11:27:35 am
I'm trying to build a controller similar to the Xbox One, so I'd want the sticks to have different sensitivity levels, as well as the triggers. What would be my options for the PCB?

You will need analog trigger sticks, they cost a fortune.

Welcome aboard, rand0MPrecisi0n.   ;D

Just to be clear, were you talking about analog triggersticks . . .

. . . or analog thumbsticks and trigger buttons?

Divemaster127 has better prices on analog triggersticks here (http://www.arcadeemulator.net/cgi-bin/shop/cp-app.cgi?pg=cat&ref=Joysticks) than buying direct from Happ, but they're definitely not inexpensive.

Thumbsticks are cheap and sold by many vendors.

Trigger buttons may be difficult to find if you want a shape other than round.

For an analog encoder PCB with software-adjustable sensitivity, look at Ultimarc's U-HID (http://www.u-hid.com/home/index.php) series or an A-Pac (http://www.ultimarc.com/a-pac.html).

Thank you for the responses. I meant thumbsticks indeed. Thank you! Is there a PCB that is compatible with Xbox One and PS4?
