Hi all
Just wondering if anybody has come across an error code 80 on an NSM2000 50 disc version?
I have a manual and it says "wall box short" when I disconnect it , the fault is still there. The jukebox was a gift from a dear friend and holds great sentimental value so I really want to get it working.
Any help to clear this problem is muchly appreciated.
Kind regards
Scott

ok
u need to a lot of steps here first
1=was it ever hooked to a wall box ?
if so then make sure that the wires for this wall box are not shorting out (on the inside of the jukebox)
it should be a plug on the cc unit
2=u state u have the service manual ?
if so go to clearing errors codes and follow the inst.
see if that clears it out.
if this dose not clear it out?
then your cc unit will need repair (new ram battery) (it is a dallas battery backed up chip)
and some are or are not soldered in

Hi Ed
I appreciate the time.
In answer to your questions,
It's never had a wall box in the 2 years I have had it (I take it you mean the item that plugs onto the "ST5" plug on the bottom right of the PCB). I tried to clear the errors by doing the P033 6 then H but this didn't work, assuming I did it correctly.
My next step will be to replace the battery as you suggest and see if this clears it.
Cheers for your help.

yes
it is called a nvram (made by dallas) , once u replace that
u will need to do a full reprogram of the jukebox
as per the service manual
do that part step by step <- very important

Hi Ed
I replaced the IC5 battery and reprogged but the pesky error code 80 is still appearing.
Do you have any more thoughts or things I should be checking?
Kind regards
Scott

yes
but u will not or rather do know the answer
your cc must be repaired , as the problem will be a interface ic
