Title: Mala front end and slg3000

Hi folks,

I have and slg3000 scanline generator witch work great for mame etc. but if i use it via mala frontend there are no scanlines in it. Someone know whats wrong with it?

What is the resolution of your Mala layout? 

It probably needs to be 800x600 or 640x480.
Not sure if 1024x768 is supported.
I know higher resolutions aren't.

I dont know, i am new in the mala stuff. Where can i see whats the resolution of the layout?. When i installed mala there were scanlines with the standard layout. But after downloading another layout and switch to it the scanlines dissapear.

Some MaLa Layouts are scaleable and may be running at your desktop resolution others are fixed. There may be a better way but I would run the layout editor MalaLayout.exe and open your layout then go to layout > fixed size.(http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20161003/adee57300be5f0af440181de60341f2e.jpg)
If not, as in the example above, then check the scaling setting (http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20161003/1f75e292b53810c189a2cc4053182832.jpg)
In this example MaLa would be running at my windows desktop resolution when using this particular layout.

I can't help you at all with your scan line generator but hopefully that helps you at least get a piece of the puzzle together.

I've never used any other front ends but I do like MaLa a lot.

Some more MaLa settings that may, or may not help you.  You'll find these by running MaLa then right click and go to  "options/configuration"  then go to the GUI tab and then Display tab in the GUI menu

Yup definitely the resolution then.  The scan line generators only work at certain resolutions.  Scassidy24's tips should have you covered.
