how do I use a 25k monitor?
I also have a 25Khz monitor in my Virtua Fighter, mine can be switched from 25Khz to 15Khz, perhaps yours too.
Personnaly, I would like to use the 25Khz frequency as such as the 15Khz, but I don't know yet how that will be possible.
The reason is that I like shoot'em ups, and most of them are vertical game wich resolution is around 224x384, and as the 25Khz resolution is 512x384 that is perfect, no need to do a rotative monitor, but I don't know if I can make a switch 15Khz <-> 25Khz and use it while the monitor is powered, I son't know if it can damage the monitor.
I was at happs site and found this pricy little card that does both 15k and 25k...
Can you point an url ?

Did you mean this:
http://www.happcontrols.com/index.html?http://www.happcontrols.com/monitors/96058300.htm! (http://www.happcontrols.com/index.html?http://www.happcontrols.com/monitors/96058300.htm!)
That is just a scan converter, and at $225, a fairly expensive on too.

Properly scales and converts to the desired timing and output
This is the line worth noting. ArcadeVGA doesn't scale or convert. Conversion=stretching=crappy.

yeah but the arcade vga doenst do 25k either!!! ;p so until it does this is what med res monitors use.. ;)
any other suggestions?

I'm pretty sure that AdvanceMame is a do-able solution for running a 25khz monitor (one option - take it or leave it).
