Since getting a Star Wars is now out the question with prices in the crazy money territory, I decided to get my fix by picking up a non working dedicated Atari Hydra that I was thinking to restore-mod this into a multi-yoke Mame machine. Of course, I'll try not to permanently alter this cab and make it easily convertable back to a Hydra.
I was wondering which of the following would be the best route if I wanted to play Star Wars, ESB, ROTJ and other yoke games:
1) try to get the arcade monitor working again
2) put in an LCD or CRT computer monitor
What do you think?

If you can find a 20" VGA CRT that is probably the best of all worlds. If not a good LED LCD monitor should do just fine. I wouldn't bother trying to set up that list of games in mame on an arcade monitor. By the time you finished with the rasterization and the downconversion of the video you're going to be playing ColecoVision type graphics on an old arcade monitor.
