Title: Help Crt Tools 2.0 + Windows Xp 32

Hello Guys
Today i´m using Windows xp 32 + Hd4350 + Groovymame 0.169b, it works super fine, but want to try improve things like Calamity said that GM 0.169b and above will work better with CRT tools 2.0, the questions is, can i use future GM versions (Ex. 0.177b) without the Crt tools 2.0 ?.
Will be some improvment on the image it self or on the emulations? Or the app is just friend use for both monitors, one to 15khz and another for LCD Marquee for example.
What is the benefit of the CRT Tools 2.0, on Windows xp 32 + Hd4350 ?

Hi!

CRT Emudriver 2.0 is a hacked Catalyst 12.6 video driver and is meant for Windows 7/8/10 64-bits. It wont work on Windows XP.

CRT Tools 2.0 will work with XP x32 but You have to use old driver either 6.5 or 9.3.

I'm currently using catalyst 9.3 with Asus Radeon 4350 and CRT tools 2.0 together with groovymame 171.

So haynor666, i´m using 0169b with a 4350 + jpac + win32 + old drivers 6.5 (200 modeds), without the Crt Tools 2.0, my doubt is, does on the newer versions on groovymame 0169b above, requires the CRT Tools 2.0 ? Is any benefit using it, i mean betther image qualitity or emulation perfection, or will be necessary only if i want 2 displays at the same time ex: (lcd Marquee + Crt).

You can use current versions of GM with the older CRT Tools. You won't get better picture quality by upgrading. You'll get better usability, because newer tools are IMHO easier to use.

Will give a try for sure, now you clarify exactaly what i need to know !
I did some tweaking on the earlier version of the Arcade OS on some resolutions, Do i have to do any special install on the new CRT tools 2.0 to overwrite the earlier modifications, what is necessary to do a clean install on the new tools ?
