Wow!  Look at that quality construction!  That monitor bezel must have been carved with the highest quality of carpet knives!

That was my favorite part.

Dude, don't make fun of it. Somebody here was probably greatly inspired to build it, complete with LCD and a Raspberry Pi.

I enjoy seeing craigslist posts like that, you are getting an early glimpse of someone learning the ins and out of a hobby that interests them while they are also at the beginning of understanding the value of the time and effort involved in producing something, and what people will actually pay for all that hard work and labor you put in. At some point in the future they should actually appreciate the dollars to effort ratio, as well as the difference between professional level results and beginner DIY results, regardless of whether they continue to pursue this specific hobby on their own.

Of course someone might buy it for that much and set back the seller's personal growth by years.

Looks like he took the time to use a pattern for the side pieces, as they both look identical. ;) Or one was the pattern. The marquee seems like it could use a little touch-up work.

On one hand I don't want to poke fun. On the other, by asking that price he's putting himself out there with this, so fair game. And I'm not one of those people who thinks trophies are for the losing team, and all that P.C. crap. If something sucks, it sucks. I'm in a good mood though so....  :dizzy:

Anyone here make an offer yet? I'm thinking $160 without the wood, shipped to CA.

My favourite bit is where it says "beautifully crafted" LOL

Handcrafted arcade cabinet, eh?

I'm prepared to consider this a pretty good effort, if that is literally true and no tools were involved.

It's tough to tear 1/2" plywood any straighter than that.

It still reminds me of my first mame turd. I would never ask more than the pc and buttons are worth though.
