Bad ass is right. I could see my family really digging the Steamboat Willy vibe.
I didn't watch all the second video. Is this a Windows and or Steam game?
-
This is an Xbox one and Windows game...supposedly coming out sometime this year.
-
is it bad I read the title and knew you were going to post about cuphead? Game looks awesome welcome to last year!

That's great. I'd never heard of it before. Thanks.
-
Yeah, it does look sweet. I'm hoping it's a 2 button side scroller. I've had ideas floating in my head for a dedicated cab since I saw this last year.
-
Looks like the copyright ran out on some of those cartoon characters....
-
Any guesses as to whether or not a game like this would require a powerful PC to run smoothly?

I doubt it. You should be able to play it on any basic computer, unless your running some really outdated hardware.

Ya you're prob right. I wonder when it will be released and how much it will be.
The only PC game I run on my cab is He Man so this would be a nice addition.

Amazing!!!

It makes me think that it could be the seed of some kinda bad ass dedicated cabinet much like Lovers In A Dangerous SpaceTime was...
Would it have cupholders?
-
This game is finally coming out in 2 days!

Hopefully this game will migrate to PS4 Land shortly.

This looks so cool. Just not sure if my laptop will play this (though Game Debate says it does - on adjusted GD settings). I might have to change out my RPi3 to some newer PC... :(
-
Used to love those old cartoons.

I have plans in my head for a cabinet of this game that will probably never be built by me. Kinda like Burgertime in that the top of the charicters head shapes the top of the cab. You put one of each of the two protagonists on each side, track down a Sony 16:9 CRT, and some serious leaf switch controls. The creators of this game are Canadian too btw :) I bet if somone actually attempts a build like that they would be more then happy to help with graphic assets. :)
How abooooot that! I thought a cab would be great too... but I think platformers play better with a controller.

Yeah, the first time I saw this game (years back) I started dreaming of a cab! After playing Super Time Force Ultra (http://scarthunter.blogspot.co.nz/2014/09/fernseher-aus-berlin-nr-4.html) all the way through at native res on 4:3 CRT I've been dreaming of making a dedicated indie game cab. Cuphead is just begging for it!
I haven't bought the game yet but first reports are that there is no 4:3 mode so finding a 16:9 CRT with VGA input is the prerequisite for me. Probably my best hope is for a Philips Matchline III to pop-up on Trade Me (https://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/CategoryListings.aspx?sort_order=expiry_desc&mcatpath=electronics-photography%2ftvs%2frear-projection-crt&v=List).
Shame I wasn't able to pack this bad boy (http://scarthunter.blogspot.co.nz/2012/11/widescreen-vga.html) when I moved to New Zealand a few years back. :(

I thought you could either use steam or windows games which might be easier to launch.

Someone made a Cuphead cabinet, but it seems really rushed to me. The bezel is horrible, the marquee is okay (but should actually say CUPHEAD), the CP doesn't match the rest of the cabinet, and the sticks should be red and blue to match the characters.

I like all of the art with the exception of the Control Panel and the Bezel. The side with King Dice needs to be redone (he wears purple)... but I loved loved the devil on the second side. It's a good start.

I like the CP angle, looks mega comfy.

I was all super psyched for this game but I think it's pretty meh.

I’ve heard from some people that once you get over the initial thrill of the artwork, the game leaves a lot to be desired.

There wasn't much thrill. I found it way more shallow than necessary and a bit clunky wrt gameplay.
