Title: Using a PCI Express VGA on a mobo with only PCI slot via adapter, yay or nay?
Post by: fcobenitez on August 22, 2016, 05:15:41 pm
Is this possible?
I've found some really cheap Intel Atom kits that should run everything I need, but the problem is that they only have one PCI slot avaliable, not even PCI Express x1.
I play mostly MAME, and I think that I've read that MAME uses mostly only CPU power, right?

Could this work?
Thanks guys!

Yeah MAME is pretty much all CPU.
Either way, you won't be able to add a PCIe card on an PCI slot....

I don't know why I even thought that such an adapter existed...

Thanks UEDan  ??? ???
