Title: I found some "treasure" in our down time.
Post by: Howard_Casto on August 22, 2016, 11:56:18 am
So I was cleaning out one of the storage sheds......I found about 50 volumes of Nintendo Power!  Not only that, but I found some stuff that maybe normal people wouldn't hold on to.  I have all the NES and SNES Game Genie books,  a bunch of Nintendo Power tip guides, instruction manuals to various consoles, and more.  Also does anyone remember the Nintendo Power Super Power Supplies books?

I found several of them as well.  They were basically the Nintendo store.  I normally wouldn't mention them, but it appears that many of the things sold might have been lost to time.  eBay searches and google searches turned up nothing for some of this stuff.  Some of it is pretty cool, like hard shell cases for the consoles, "game pak racks" ect.....  Is there an archive for this sort of thing that I can check to see if it needs added?  You know, one that won't be pulled down.  ;)

Also, and I can't figure this one out..... I have the manual to Kung-Fu.  I don't own Kung-Fu, I never rented Kung-Fu.... why......I'm just going to have to let this one go I think.

Did you ever borrow or rent kung-fu?
Are you the bastard that didn't return the instructions with kung-fu?

No.  I remember playing it at my cousins when I was little and not thinking much of the game.  We never played at my house at the time.

Kung-Fu is probably one of my favorite "Black-Box" games (well except for Super Mario Brothers.  And perhaps Ice Climber and Excitebike.  And I suppose if you count Kid Icarus, Metroid and Rad Racer being they're silver.) Anyway, pretty good port for its time.
