Just out of curiosity, I have a spy hunter that had a WG4900 chassis and RCA tube. Chassis died but before it did there was a blue arcing in the neck of the tube. Replaced it with another wg4900 chassis, same thing, chassis blew again. Stupid me tried an 8 liners chassis on tube and same thing. Turned power off to keep from blowing this one. My questions what causes the blue arcing in the neck? Is it possible for a tube to ruin a chassis?

It almost sounds like your monitor board is blowing the tube... not the other way arround... but you may have also damaged the tube durring install...
Id look into replacing the monitor board first tho.
Obviously, you have to be Very carefull about the tubes neck... as if you push the monitor board into the neck too hard - or wiggle it..ect, it will crack the tube enough to cause it to fail.

Tube is shot! There must be a crack in it somewhere that has let air into it.
Your chassis may not be damaged at all or if it is then only minor damage.

thats what I was afraid of. Will try new tube. Thanks for the input. Funny thing about these old games, plug it in one day works fine, next day POOF!
