Controlled power strip....
Does anyone know another manufacturer beside Smart strip? My old smart strip failed and the new ones don't actually work!!! (it stays on all the time)
Any other solutions or thoughts? The old one worked well but they look like a blind 5 year did the soldering (on the inside) So I really don't want to buy a used one.
Thanks!

Not exactly sure what you mean by a controlled power strip, but if you mean managed, there are plenty.

Plenty of vendors targeting the datacenter space with managed power options for PDUs.

Well, like the smart strip.. one outlet turns the others on/off.. I have been using this in my mame machine for 9 years or so... It died and I need a new solution because the new version sux :(

either your smart strip adjusted wrong, or your computer is not fully shutting down. Sometimes the settings are in CMOS. Sometimes a jumper on the mobo. The setting keeps power to the USB ports. Check it by seeing if the PC USB will charge your phone when the computer is shut off.

Thanks, I checked that but you did give me an idea.. I did check a spare PC and it shutoff correctly.. ( I had checked 3 pc's before that but they all had the same power supply) So.. It has something to do with the type of PS I buy... either way I'll swap everything over to the one that works or change the PS...
