Title: J-pac in Sega Versus City
Post by: tonychua on July 25, 2016, 02:22:05 pm
Quick question guys.. Will the video output of j-pac work with 2 arcade crt monitors? I'm planning on mounting it on a Sega Versus City cab.

Thanks in advance!

You may need some kind of amplifier. https://www.monoprice.com/product?c_id=101&cp_id=10104&cs_id=1010401&p_id=4903&seq=1&format=2 (https://www.monoprice.com/product?c_id=101&cp_id=10104&cs_id=1010401&p_id=4903&seq=1&format=2) this might work, but you would have to use these: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Cga-to-Vga-or-Vga-to-Cga-Adapter-cga-vga-vga-cga-Arcade-Monitor-Converter-/120967813463 (http://www.ebay.com/itm/Cga-to-Vga-or-Vga-to-Cga-Adapter-cga-vga-vga-cga-Arcade-Monitor-Converter-/120967813463)

Jpac works fine. That's what I run in mine. No extra equipment necessary.

I can confirm this works perfectly. My jpac arrived and tested it myself.  :applaud:

If you have auto switching ms9 monitors in there do yourself a favor and pull all the video jumpers off the jpac. Then solder pin 13 and pin 14 together on the VGA input connector. That will allow you to switch between 15khz and 24khz games without the jpac turning into a useless piece of garbage.
