Title: Light guns used in Big Buck HD Wild
Post by: Madmardigan on July 22, 2016, 10:56:26 am
Hey folks,

I am in the processes of building my arcade cab and really would like to implement "light" guns.  I know about aimtrak IR but dont know how I feel about non perfect calibration and relying on crosshairs for aiming.  Anyway I played Big Buck HD Wild (pretty fun zombie shooter on it) yesterday at the arcade and it had perfect calibration and wasnt on a CRT screen.  So a couple questions - Does anyone know the tech that is used in these machines?  Is it possible to integrate into a mame/big buck (hyperspin FE) cabinet to play other games?  I have been searching all over but cant find much info on it.

Cant help with your querry of the big buck hardware but you can turn the crosshairs off for most emulators if you so wish.
The problem is then though that you cant calibrate on the fly if you need to.
TBH though I dont have to re-calibrate my aim traks now I have got them set up nicely except when someone else uses them!
