Eh I move the stuff myself usually.  You know the old saying.... if you want anything done right....

Define "expensive" because if you hire a service, often times it isn't worth the fee.

55 inchers can be had for around 400 dollars at 4k resolutions these days.  It might make more sense to sell the tv and buy another one in FL.

cost me $2000 its that lg oled tv. bought few months ago..wasnt even planning on moving at the time :dizzy:

anyone actually used fedex freight? I know pretty much every shipping carrier gets a bad rep but I was hoping freight service is little better since it cost 2-3x more than standard shipping. dunno what to do here, Id try to sell it but then Id get offers from craigslist people for $200........... ::)

how about "crating" it? like make a wood box/cage around the packaged box and just ship it with regular fedex or ups mail? they are ok with the size and weight. I am just looking for some general information and if anyone here had experience shipping something like this.

I mean if this is what takes then I will hit up home depot and get some wood. I really like this tv and want it to get there in one piece lol..:hissy:

I have the original box and everything. maybe I can get some 1/2" plywood put it between the foam and the carton itself. then they couldnt break the wood right. getting creative out here(or desperate)

I had a 23" black and white monitor recently shipped to me from Chicago via FedEx. All went well.

I had smaller ones shipped to me just fine..

but I dont think this one will make it in one piece. I might just have to make a box out of some 1/2" wood there goes my weekend :banghead:

put it in the original box and send it UPS or Fedex.. Might not even exceed the size limit that will get you extra freight charges (I think it is girth + length under 90 inches or something like that).  And then just insure it ($2k will cost like $20 more).  If it shows up damaged in any way, file a claim and get a new TV.  Unless it holds sentimental value or can't be replaced, just make sure it is insured and ship it.  Only time I ever had an issue with claims is when I didn't do insurance and it was limited to $100.

as far as I know they will deny a claim for TV if it wasnt packed properly like in a wood box or something?

too late to just ship it I guess lol..bought some of wood to make a CAGE :dizzy:
