Title: Connecting older arcade monitor to JAMMA issues

I have an old Asteroids Cocktail that was converted to a Pro Golf bootleg.  I was attempting to convert cabinet to JAMMA to provide flexibility.  I wish I could tell you what chassis is on the monitor, but I have no clue.  Everything is in Japanese.  There are the normal wires coming off the chasis, red, blue, green, black, and white.  I should mention that the monitor works wonderfully with the Pro Golf bootleg. 

I thought it would be simple.  Take the 5 wires from the jamma harness and wire to the corresponding color from the monitor chassis.  WRONG!  All I got was a black monitor with some "snow".  Any help would be appreciated.  There is an additional orange wire from the chassis that is not in use with Pro Golf.

Did you change the dipswitch setting on the jamma board?  It comes with vga selected rather than cga.  I guess I am presuming you have a 60 in 1 btw...

Also, you will need to figure out the vert and horz negative sync posts on the chassis, combine them and tie them into the white wire on the monitor jamma adapter.  Again...being a bit presumptive on my end.

Do you have any pics of the chassis board?

You may want to google or do a forum search on "Bob Roberts monitor sync" ..... I found that very helpful.
