Title: LEDBlinky Completely lost - Programming assistance, please, can I even do this?
Post by: Dracarius on July 13, 2016, 01:02:45 pm
So, I'm using an Ultimarc U-HID, I can get the LEDs to work with that software. When I try to set it for PC controlled, it saves, but I can't get the LED blinky software to activate that LED.

What I'm trying to accomplish is this.  I have a game that I want to set up like this:

Button is mapped, so that when I press it, it sends a keyboard command of '1' to the game. When that button is pressed,  I want the button LED to light, and stay lit, until another button is pressed.

Can this be done with the Blinky software? If so, how? I've spent hours and even the troubleshooter can't seem to help me find why I can't even test my LED.  My controller is recognized and mapped.

Thanks for the assistance,

Drac

First try using the SimpleLEDTest app and see if the LED light up. If the controller (UHID) is detected but the LEDs don't light up with the test app then there might be some wiring or hardware issue. As for using LEDBlinky to control the individual LEDs based on button actions, it's possible - you'd have to code a script to send manual commands to LEDBlinky. The documentation has a section on all the LEDBlinky command line parameters.
