Title: Anyone mount a Happs Golden Tee trackball in 3/4" melamine (W/Plate)?
Post by: PaulG on January 18, 2004, 08:10:21 am
Hi.  This is my 1st post here.  I'm in the process of building my 1st panel and have a question about the Happs Golden Tee TB that's currently onsale.  Aside from the "lip" design, is there any difference between this and regular Happ trackballs?  Can I mount this in 3/4" melamine (with a Happs mounting plate) or is this TB specifically tailored to Golden Tee control panels?  If it can be mounted, which Happs plate do you order?  They have plates for 3" and 3" High Ball, but not the 3" "Lip" that's in Golden Tee.  Appreciate any help from people who've purchased this item.  Thanks!  PS  I'm not interested in mounting without a plate.  I'll just buy something else.

Hi, welcome to the board.  I don't know why no one else hasn't responded to this...
I have the Happs Golden Tee TB mounted in 3/4" MDF with a mounting plate.  It's really easy, just cut a ~5" Square just big enough for the TB to come thru from the bottom.  Hold in place while you line up the mounting plate on top and mark screw holes.  Pre-drill holes and mount.
Easy stuff!

Good luck!
