Title: Which video source

Hi,
So the TV I am using has inputs for
1) HDMI and
2) component. 

The PC has DVI outputs.  So currently I have:
DVI--->HDMI

I want to use my little scan line generator which uses VGA.  So... which would be the recommended conversion:

1) DVI--->VGA--->HDMI
or
2)DVI--->VGA--->component

I am thinking #2?

i'd personally do DVI to HDMI (or just HDMI)...and make scanlines through software.

but given the choice, component is analog so it may hide some of the sins of doing a double conversion on the signal.

Yeah, that's kind of what I was concerned with too.  Going from digital to analog back to digital again.
