Background: Built a cab 10 years ago with I-PAC 2 installed. Upgraded PC (HP Elite 8200), one one wouldn't work in Win7x64 so I ordered a new model. Simple, right?
Well, connected it up, plugged it in and it took over the keyboard. If you open the start menu, browser, anything with a text field, it spams the '2' key at high speed or cycles open fields. Can't program it, can't use the computer until you unplug. I've tried
1) All other USB ports on the PC
2) Checked firmware is latest on I-PAC
3) Multiple USB cables
4) Confirmed all connections and grounds
5) Checked all microswitches

Unplug and PC back to normal. Advice? Thanks!

HAVING THE SAME ISSUES DID YOU FIGURE OUT WHAT WAS GOING ON??

Sounds like you connected one or more microswitches to NC instead to NO, this means there are constantly sent keypresses to the IPAC until you press the button. Release the button, keypresses are sent again.

Misread the original post, i have no keystrokes at all from my keyboard. When I hit esc to exit emulator it opens the windows menu, if I open up an explorer window or anything else I can't type anything and all my keystrokes act like short cut keys, opening windows ext. always happens after I launch hyper spin or win ipac . Did a system restore to previous date everything was fine again until I ran hyper spin same thing happened

That sounds like the kind of behaviour you'd get if you were holding down Ctrl (ctrl+esc opens the start menu, plus all kinds of Windows shortcuts). Check the wiring on P1 SW1 maybe?
Also to rule it out, you could check http://www.keyboardtester.com/ (http://www.keyboardtester.com/) to see if anything's being hit.

With these kind of probs I always suggest opening the Winipac utility and see what buttons are being "pressed"
This will help you narrow down the problem to individual buttons.

tried the winipac and didn't show any buttons pushed, I'll try a keyboard test first chance I get, thanks
