Title: cab power cables
Post by: bloodyviking77 on January 18, 2004, 12:07:52 am
I just spent some time "tidying up" the ratsnest inside my cab, bundling up monitor and pc cables etc and tying off with cable ties.

Just wondering about any adverse effects from having coiled up power cables - I haven't noticed any distortion to monitor picture or other signs of interference.

Should i be worried at all? How do you guys keep all those cables neat and tidy?

I used spiral wire wrap on my cables.  The biggest thing to avoid would be tying speaker wires, audio cables, and power cables together so you don't introduce 'hum' into your audio.  I tried to group the power cables and audio cables separately.

Power cables should always be bundled away from everything else.
