I've been able to to play most games on Groovymame just fine using Super Resolutions or not.
But recently I checked out how the Mortal Kombat series does on it and unlike everything else I've played they have a little issues.
When using regular user modelines, on all the MK games, the screen will scroll a tiny bit down then reappear at the top, over and over really fast. Besides that though the displayed screen looks fine (I know if this wasn't happening it would look great!)
Same thing happens with Super modelines installed.
Before posting this, I tried to research this and from all I could find and understand, this is a sync related issue, but couldn't find a solution if theres any.
So just in case it may be that, I'm using a NTSC Sony Wega TV and starting a few days, my new ASUS HD 4350.
I have these modelines installed with the Arcade 15khz preset, dotpitch set to auto.
I will try to post the machine info and possibly upload a tiny video of what I'm talking about in a little bit.

You have to find the sweet spot of the SONY CRT for the vertical hold. This can be done through the service menu ou by twaeking the modeline parameters.

TY for the reply.
Very sorry to have to ask, but what is Vertical "Hold" exactly?
Unless that just means either the Vertical position or stretch.

The vertical hold control (on the TV) is taking care of detecting the vertical blanking signal between each frame. Outside of a certain tolerated range, the picture starts to roll vertically. By the way, what is your TV model? If the option is available I might help to get you through the service menu. Otherwise, modeline tweak or soldering is necessary.
Here is the process to enter into the service menu:

I've actually been in the Service mode before so I know how that goes, though I'm still far from an expert at it haha.
But the only parameters I've ever messed with are the ones under "DEF", to get the screen to a wanted position.
Anyway, my model is a Sony Wega kv-32fs320.
So is there supposed to be a parameter for Vertical Hold somewhere in the service menu?
I wouldn't know what it would be named but I'm pretty sure I don't recall there being any called "VHold" just in case that's what it's called.
If needed, I could try to list every parameter my TV's service mode has.
Thanks very much again!!
