It has been 12 years since I built my first MAME cabinet (an upright), but I'm thinking of making a small scale cocktail cabinet. Not sure what I'm thinking yet, but with the availabilty with so many flat screens now, it is something I can easily do now that I couldn't do back then. I looked at some of the examples, but most of the links are dead. Does anyone have any good examples of something like this?

By "small scale cocktail cabinet" are you referring to something like Griffindodd/Maximus' Little Miss Pac-Man (http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php/topic,128666.0.html) or mgb's Verti-GO (http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php/topic,146042.0.html)?

Perhaps one of the 2012 UCA Nominees for cocktail cabs (http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php/topic,129985.0.html) is more what you are looking for?
There are other cocktail examples here (http://newwiki.arcadecontrols.com/index.php?title=Cocktail_cabinets) in the new wiki.

I built one a couple of years ago using a netbook. You can read more here. (http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php/topic,129682.msg1326681.html#msg1326681)

Here's my small form cocktail cab build. It's mostly screen, and fairly narrow. I do plan to (eventually ::))make a felt covered top for it to use for chess/card games, since the top of the joysticks sit just under the top of the cab.
