Title: HDMI -> VGA -> SLG Flicker
Post by: Charlie97L on May 25, 2016, 10:56:25 am
I'm getting some flickering while connecting my Pi to an HDMI VGA converter then running it through a SLG.  It's only when the SLG is on.  Is this normal for a SLG?

Thanks!

Do you have a powered hdmi to vga adaptor?
I do notice slight flicker & dimming of the picture using the same setup as you with my rpi2.
I think it has to do with signal strength coming off the hdmi convertor.
I'm going to try the Gert VGA and see how the works.

You can also try a different brand of hdmi>vga adaptor.

Yes it is powered.  I tried it unpowered and powered and there was no difference.

I ordered another one to try.  If that doesn't work I'll suck it up and get the HDFury Nano.

ditched it entirely for the crt-pi shader.  once configured, looks amazing.

the new converter didn't even work at all with the SLG.
