Went to an auction today to get a larger monitor and picked up a 21" LG Studioworks 216SC monitor for $170 Australian. :)
I got it home plugged it in and was enjoying the extra 4 inches I have now while playing MAME games. ;D
Later I rebooted the computer which runs on pure DOS and when it rebooted I had no monitor display. ???
I then tried many different things from rebooting again, turning the computer off, unplugging the monitor, checking the pins on the lead, plugged it in to my other computer that has Windows XP and still no picture. :o
The little diode on the monitor is orange when the computer is off and then turns green like it should when you turn the computer on and the monitor even make that little crack noise they do when they are about to display something but still no picture. :-\
Does anybody have any suggestions or think they know what is wrong, any advise will be greatly appreciated as my wife is just entering that part of the cycle which will make my life even more unbearable should she find out I have just thrown away $170. :'(

Glad you enjoyed before it broke.
Anyway,
This is not what you want to hear but I had a 21" and its black to, and when I got it fixed, the problem was that the RGB chip went bad (Thats what the reapir dude said). It cost me $125.00 but I had no choice but give in.
Hope nothing to serious with yours, you should try to get in touch where you got it from, maybe you'll get lucky. Good luck.
