Title: Rom stopped playing...

Kind of curious on something.  I have MAME 167 loaded in 3 different machines. Identical set ups..(a cocktail, upright and on my desktop computer) Was playing a game last night...finished and powered down.  I did wash all the roms thru clrmamepro prior to setting things up.

Fired the machine up today so the son and I could play again.  Selected the same game...and, it will open, but seems corrupted.  I deleted that rom zip.  Fired up a different unit copied the zip to a usb drive and reinstalled.

I get the same result...game (rom) seems currupted?  Is there a setting in MAME that I could have inadvertantly messed up? I was not in the ini file at all.

I did delete the tom cfg file and that had no change to the game.

Kind of stumped on this one.  Any advice is appreciated.

Deleted the HI file and it now works.  Huh.

yeah its usually either the hi or the vram file

Buy the mainboard and ditch mame.
