Title: Gateway 36" 800x600 monitor arcade use?
Post by: smass on April 13, 2016, 09:09:11 am
Hi all - I have a 36" Gateway Destination CRT monitor.  Its been sitting un-used in my basement for about 10 years now and I was going to list it on CL and see if I could get rid of it.  My question is, does a monitor like this have any desirability for arcade cab use?  Its got an 800x600 native (max) resolution and a standard VGA input.  Here is the Gateway page with specs and such http://panam.gateway.com/s/Monitor/Z01243/Z01243nv.shtml (http://panam.gateway.com/s/Monitor/Z01243/Z01243nv.shtml)

Any feedback would be appreciated.  :)

You could build a showcase style cabinet with it.

Weight   99 kg (218 lbs)  :o

What dmckean said.
I just wouldn't want to have to move that cabinet after it's built.
