You could just plug into an electric tuner and have it do the work for you until you develop an ear to do it yourself. They are as cheap as $10.

It's possible that his intonation needs to be... well intonated =P
I play mostly skin flute... but guitar was a close 2nd.
fiend --> does the ibanez have a floyd rose or similiar floating bridge / locking nut whammy bar based bridge?
On my yamaha, I pulled an eddie van halen and made it so it only dived down by putting a custom piece of wood behind the internal backside bridge fulcrum thingie... it added a little sustain and stability to my lower grade model guitar...

TRUMPET!!! ;D

Which one I play most? sigh... Eventailly I decided on mandolin, but the penny whilstle is so much easier to pick up (it is never out of tune - at least with itself) that it might win by any casual observation. The mandolin is what I dream of playing though. When I see myself on stage in front of a million adoring fans I'm playing the mandolin. I wake up screaming a moment latter because I while I like being on stage, everything else about having a million adoring fans is something I hate. (I'm not a socal person)
My life long dream has been to be a good piano player, but I'm not good enough to enjoy playing it like I do the mandolin. So if I ever learn to properly play piano my answer will change.
I feel sorry for anyone limited to just one insterment though. Or in my case limited to just 3 (4 if you count my voice, too bad I can't find the right note often) Then again if I didn't have so many hobbies I might get something done on one of them.

Nose flute
LOL, I used to layout ads for a music store that sold those things. One time we almost ran an ad with a typo "Hose Flute".
Oh, yeah. I play the Recorder, 3rd grade music class, "Mary Had A Little Lamb".
-
Trombone in grade school. Haven't picked one up since. We recently picked up an antique upright piano but the keys stick. I want to get it going again, but don't know where to start.
-
I used to play the piano pretty regularly when I had access to one, but I don't have a keyboard now. Kind of miss it. I tried to learn guitar, I suck and just don't have that kind of coordination - it was almost comical to watch - like charlie brown trying to write a pen-pal letter: :P

No drummers yet?
I play the trap set, but I'm pretty lame. My main instrument is the accoustic guitar. I also play the cornet (since 5th grade)

I play a mean Air Cowbell
You know what you need? MORE COWBELL!!! (only funny if you are an SNL fan)
Trumpet for me. A little piano. And does 3 chords count as being able to play the guitar? Worked for a lot of bands in the 90's ;)

WOW :o
I had no idea that this poll had become so popular
Guitar & Piano for me, I'm just starting out with guitar, but I like it.
-
Drums & Trumpet.. god I wish I could play them both at the same time.
Drums are fun tho :-D
And I don't want to hear this "those who can't play, drum" crap.. getting all 4 limbs to act independently and even carry different tempos is hard dammit >:(

Drummer here, reporting for duty!
Is this thread a pretext to forming a BYOAC band or something? 'Cause if we're gonna cover "Pac Man Fever" or something, I'm OUT, man!
