Just joking - but I am more than half tempted to lowball him $100 on Friday when I get paid.

I don't think you would be low balling him. From the tone of the CL ad, it sounds like they want it gone.
Sounds like a beast so you should probably bring help.
-
At that price it'll be gone by tomorrow.
-
I really wish I had a truck.

It's been up since yesterday, so here's hoping. If the ad is still up on Friday, I'll be calling.
Damn, DMCkean. For that price, I'd rent a truck!

If you don't buy that I'm going to personally hit you with your sticks att zapcon

I know for a fact someone already has feelers out. It might even be gone today. And no, it's not me.
-
Yep, just got confirmed - got picked up earlier today.
-
Damn. So who got it? Anyone I know?

You ever met The Wolfman?
-
Not that I know of. Then again, I've never made it to a repair party. You guys are killing me. They were on Saturdays for the longest time, then I got Saturdays off, now they seem to be on Sundays!

Actually, the last one was the Saturday before Easter....
-
Just found out, it needed a lot more than just a fuse.
-
There's probably 2 monitors from that era that still work.

Fortunately, the guy who picked it up had one of them.
-
Either way. $150 for the cabinet, controls, and the PCB. Totally worth it.
-
Not really. Worthless if the monitor doesn't work.

Totally. Cause a $20 converter completely invalidates everything else... :whap
-
Jim Gotta Jim... but I agree with him, anything besides a 25" CRT in an HS-5 is dirty.
-
Jim's right on this one. The cabinet itself is so common it's practically worthless. Ditto for Street Fighter pcbs. Those controls are old as can be so cleaning might not be enough to resurrect them (bad springs/switches and such).
Unless it's working that looks like a 50 dollar cabinet to me.
-
It depends on where you are too, in places like Phoenix and Denver, there's a lot of collectors and craigslist is really completive and it drives the prices up. But I think that most working boards for popular games are worth about $50 at least and most gutted cabinets will bring $50 too.
-
Thank you, dmckean.
If I saw a gutted cut-corner for $50, I'd be calling in to work to pick it up!
-
I'd have paid $150 for it, but I have access to monitors, plus I really want a horizontal JAMMA cab for some of my PCBs....
-
My grail cab is a cut-corner z-back. Someday...

I got mine for 100 bucks....

Naw, it was picked up earlier in the day.

Yeah, and by the time you find one that will actually sync, you're up to $60. It seems like those things only work about half the time on half the boardsets I try.

So the 27" CRT in mine is dirty :(

It should be noted that I tend to hang in the prejamma games. I went through four of them failing to sync on a Defender... three of the four didn't work on a Pole Position II... all four worked on Berzerk.
