Title: Ground point on Arcade Monitor
Post by: Ghoward on January 15, 2004, 11:17:50 am
Hi

On the WG9200 there is a ground screw on the bottom left hand side. Does this need to be wired to a ground point on the cab. The monitor does have 3 prong outlet plug on it.

It's always a good idea to attach the monitor frame ground the the other frame grounds in the cabinet like coin door frame, control panel frame (if metal panel), fluoescent light fixture frame (if metal), power line filter frame, power supply frame, etc.

Ken,

What would be the best place to ground it to? Coin door?...... This is a custom cab that I built myself so everything else is grounded. As I stated  before the monitor is grounded via the 3 prong outlet but grounding the frame is a good idea too.

I don't have the coin door grounded at this time to anything.

Any ideas.....

Run a ground wire from the coin door frame and from the monitor frame. Connect these wires to either the metal power supply case, the ground terminal of the power line filter (if installed), or the green power cord ground wire.
