What do you think? How is the emulation, Games and Kodi experience?
-
I use the USB TV sticks. I bought a bunch of GameSticks for this very purpose. They are slow and difficult to maintain a connection.
The Pizero is the next microconsole project, built into a Pacman TV contoller, with Kodi, so we will see how that goes.

I wish my roku 3 could run a nes emulator.

I've got a GameStick that I picked up for experimenting. Only watched Netflix and loaded an NES emulator on it, worked well enough for that.

pi 3 looks really good..I am gonna buy one to mess with it lol

I have a shield TV and it wins. I also have 4 different ras pis and they are fun if you want to use a gaming interface.

I have all the Shield devices... Shield Portable, Shield Tablet (original w/stylus, 32GB and 4G), and the Shield Console (16GB version, 64GB SD card set as adopted storage, and 500GB external USB hard drive). I think they all work great for emulation. I use the portable to play several MAME games (old stuff I like such as Gyruss, DK, DK Jr., Gunsmoke, etc.) plus fighting games like MSH, SFII, Darkstalkers and SNES games... Same thing for the console, I play Super Punch Out frequently on it. Plus I've used the portable and the console for streaming games from my gaming PC which has worked pretty well. The most surprising experience was I tried out Arkham Origins streaming from my home PC (using the Shield Portable), across the internet, to the public WiFi at work (which was very iffy at the time) and it was still perfectly playable. I actually beat some of my records while streaming, so that should tell you the timing was still right on.
So I guess it's not necessary to point out I'm a bit of an nVidia fanboy... :)
Oh, forgot to add, I also use ScummVM on the tablet to play things like Full Throttle, The Dig, Sam & Max, and the Indiana Jones games...

I use Fire Sticks for TV in my house. The Kodi experience is pretty decent if you have good wifi in place.
Haven't tried any emulators on it. I'd have to buy the Amazon game controller and that's like $55.

I have a gpd xd to scratch my mobile emulation itch. Runs most stuff i throw at it that i care about (up to ps1).
Runs a recent(ish) mame build too at decent speed.
