hello everyone!
I am in the process of upgrading the computer in my 7 years old cabinet. The old PC was running XP and the new PC is running Windows 7. Both are currently installed in my cabinet for testing purpose, so I can switch between the old one and the new PC. On my control panel I have 2 Ultrastik 360.
The issue I am facing is the following:
When I use my new PC, my UltraStik #1 is not responding after windows has started. To get it to work, I have to start the UltraMap tool, program the stick to any other map than analog. This will get the stick alive, then I can reprogram it to "analog" (my default configuration) and it will work fine.
My ultrastick #2 doesn't have the same behavior and works perfectly all the time.
When I switch back my control panel to my old PC (running XP) my stick #1 will work perfectly and do not have the issue described above. Switch my CP again to my windows 7 PC and the issue is back. I am doing a full shutdown and power off of both PC to switch my Stick from one PC to the other.
One thing to note: My stick #1 is running firmware 2.5 (the board was replaced a couple of years ago) and my stick #2 is still running firmware 2.3. I tried to download the firmware 2.5 from Ultimarc to bring both stick to 2.5 but the download link is broken. Also, I have the issue with only running stick #1 (stick #2 disconnected).
Anyone have any idea?

I have the same issue. I struggled with it for a while, and then just ended up creating a batch file that I run when my PC boots. The batch file sets the joystick to a non-analog profile and then back to analog. I no longer notice this odd behavior.

dfwdennis: did both sticks were having the issue or just one like me?

I only have one.

Slightly off topic - I hope you get your Ultrastik issue squared away.
I ran into an issue when I migrated to Windows 7 and found some new shortcuts in Windows 7 compared to XP. Specifically, CNTL+ALT+Arrow keys. I have to remap my ipac.
