Title: Lighting a Coin Door?

Question #1.) I have a 4 player cab and want to go about lighting the coin doors. Now I understand I can go through the computer and use a 12 volt source(Yellow and Black on a Splitter). How do you do it though. Wire all the doors to the same source or daisy chain them? I'm not electrically inclined but would you still get a 12 volts from 4 different hookups. Or does the voltage drop with each hookup after the first. I really don't want to screw anything up. I'm guessing the more you add the dimmer each slot will get.
Question #2.) Can you buy other coin door printouts to replace the amber ones? I want to get Blue, Red, Yellow, and Green so it matches the players color..thanks.

#1) I think I'm right in saying that you will be fine wiring the lights by daisy chaining (parallel). I think the lights will only get dimmer if you wire in series. Perhaps someone could confirm, I haven't done this to my coin door lights yet.
#2) I haven't seen them, I think Happ sells replacements for various currencies, but I think they are all white/black. It is usually the plastic reject button that gives the orangey-red colour tho, I don't think different coloured printouts would show through :(

Thanks for the fast replies. As for Question #2 I found them on Happ. It's under REJECT BUTTON ASSEMBLY. They go for 4.30 a piece. It's actually the whole button spring and all.

Be aware that different doors take different reject buttons (even Happ's doors take different buttons depending on the model)

You should CHECK THE VOLTAGE AND AMPERAGE of your lights.
If the voltage is 5V-6V or 12V-14V you can connect them to your PC's power supply, assuming it puts out sufficent aperage, using an extra disk drive connector.
If the voltage is different, you can buy an adapter from radio shack or other electronic stores that meets the correct voltage, and provides sufficent amperage.
You can similarly look at adapters from old electronic devices you no longer use such as toys, keyboards, answering machines, etc and see if one of those is the correct voltage and amperage.
Note: for lights, it does not matter if the voltage is AC or DC
