I spoke to the owner this morning and she has offered a BYOAC forum discount through April 14th, 2016.
You will not be disappointed in the results as they use a reverse printing technique so your marquees have deep rich colors with without lighting and deep non-faded blacks. Same technique used on the black-lit movie posters in theaters
WP34 recently received his order and was not disappointed. I also used Hollywood for my MKX build.
The cost layout is as follows.
$15 setup fee and $15 sq ft. plus $6.50 roll tube USPS priority mail shipping.
Mention BYOAC in your order or in communication and you will get 20% off your order through April 2016.

This cost me around $55-60 shipped, not bad for the quality.
Aimee is really cool to work with and works hard to make sure you are happy with your marquee. Give them a try, redo that old marquee or let them print your new project.

Did you say $55-$60 JUST for a marquee?
Maybe it's good, but man, that's spendy.
-
Do you still need to sandwich it between plexi?

Yep, not by much backlit material marquees low grade still about 35-40 shipped, anything less and your getting a massive hookup and or the marquee is washed out.
So this isnt for everyone, if you want a higher grade marquee, then use Hollywood, there is a huge difference in the product. After dropping between a 1000 - 1500 for a build 50.00 it pennies compared to the other components.
Your paying extra for the reverse dual printing, if your good with what you have then stay with it, this is just another option.
Do you still need to sandwich it between plexi?
Yessir I did, its not adhesive backed.

As rablack97 said I'm really happy with how my marquee turned out. Thanks again for the tip.

Wow, yes sir, yes i would pay 50-60 for a look like that........Awesome man.

Getting a nice kickback?

To each his own. I paid around $65 for all my artwork.
The marquees I've used aren't washed out, but I'm sure it's not as good as these expensive ones. I don't want to rain on anyone's parade, but a $60 marquee to me is like a $90 joystick.

How does this compare to stpcore's translite marquees?

Not a damn dime sir.....

Have no idea how you accomplished that, you must of gotten it done overseas or you have a hookup.
Plus it also depends on your marquee, if there is very little black on yours then it wont matter either way.
But this is all about preferenct WP34 saw a big difference in his marquee, so yeah if hi-def quality isnt your thing then no disrespect to ya. If you have 1080p TV some folks see no reason to go to 4K, but there is a big visual difference.
How does this compare to stpcore's translite marquees?
I'm good friends with stpcore, i told him about this place, and he himself stated that process is hard to duplicate. He is testing a new backlit film that's suppose to be pretty close to hollywood's quality. I'll let him give more on that once he's ready.

I am trying to contact Aimee at Hollywood Marquees. She must have taken her website and ebay store down. I want to see if I can still order a sign from her. Anyone know how to get a hold of her?

Probably means they are no longer in business you might try Lucian, he's still actively printing stuff.

How can I find this Lucian?
