Did anyone try this namco gun knock off: http://www.arcadespareparts.com/arcade_parts/shooting_parts/gun_assembly_for/13629.html (http://www.arcadespareparts.com/arcade_parts/shooting_parts/gun_assembly_for/13629.html)
? I'm looking for an affordable quality gun with the same sens feeling than a Time crisis gun. I would like to mod it with an Aimtrak electronic kit.

that gun has been mentioned in a few threads, with some half explained guides getting it to work with aimtrack.
its pretty much the same as the real namco gun, its the only way to get the gun in black, you can get the real arcade gun instead, its almost the same and its super cheap.

Did you do this mod Timecrisis? Do you know the best place to buy the necesary items and what to buy? Thx

Those guns might be illegal in some areas, as they probably fall under the category of 'toy guns'.
Many jurisdictions mandate certain colors for toy guns - for instance in NY, the gun must have, at a minimum, a blaze orange insert in the barrel.
Now, I don't give a hoot about this, and I don't expect any of you guys to either, but it's something to bear in mind if the gun would have to pass through customs to get to you.
For instance, in the UK, you might get in serious trouble for importing a 'realistic imitation firearm'.
You may sneer at this, but laws like this are the reason that the UK is now a crime free utopia :lol

I don't do the custom declaration so it shouldn't be my problem unless they seized the gun. I don't know the law about that in Canada but I'll take a chance anyway. Thanks for the information.

but if you see the thread you will see you just buy a 'real arcade gun', its a ps1 gun, its the same qaulity as the arcade, the reason they charge soo much for the arcade version must have something to do with the arcade machine making money for the person that buys the parts,i mean they charge £300 for a reload pedal replacement part, £230 for a CD drive replacement, that just isn't right at all.
