i put a horizontal monitor in my vertical cab, and the picture gets miscoloured, i tried degaussing but the picture keeps being miscolored, what to do? :dunno
the monitor is ok when put horizontal.
as the chassis doesnt have degaussing i just feed the degaussingcoil on the monitor with 220v AC (in a short burst)

Are you seeing the typical decolorisation in a corner of the screen? (A picture might help.) Are you sure there are no magnets nearby the picture tube if you install it vertically? Cabinet speakers and TL ballasts are the first thing that crosses my mind. Blowers can generate a magnetic field as well. Do you see the picture jumping if you energise the degaussing coil? Sometimes it takes a couple of shots before the tube is completely degaussed. (Just be carefull not to overheat the degaussing coil.)

no magnets.
i dont degausse with the monitor turned on,so i dont know if the picture is jumping.
at first the miscolor was on one side, then i degaussed it a couple of times, now the miscolor is on the edges around the screen
i try and degausse it a bit more then....
