Wow some surprises here. Congrats again to all the nominees.
-
Congrats to all the winners! Some tough competition in the categories this year. All nominees should be proud.
-
I'm glad the AnyCoinMechs got the recognition they deserved. Well done!
And thanks to the nine people who voted for my Janky Kong restoration. I'm very chuffed!
-
I didn't vote for all of these, but looking at that line-up its clear they all deserve this recognition. We had some great builds in 2015.
Congratulations to all!
-
Great work, guys, those are some great looking projects.
-
Congratulations to all the other winners and nominees! :applaud: There were some really outstanding builds this year and it is humbling to be included.
Can't wait to see what everyone builds in 2016!
-
Hmm, interesting choices, but yea, it was a tough competition this year. All quality builds for sure!
-
Weak year for BYOAC...

I don't think so, some categories to tough to vote on!
Congrats to all the winners and for those nominated. Outstanding job!

Its great that I won the UCA for the restore work, I had a great time putting that cab back together. It'll always mean a lot to me. That being said, Raiden deserves a UCA more than I do.
-
Malenko, I'm confused. Your TMNT resto wasn't in the same category as Raiden.
Oh... I see...
"Yo, Chance, I'm really happy for you, I'ma let you finish, but Raiden was one of the best cabinets of all time! One of the best cabinets of all time!"

Incorrect. And eat a butt for implying that Chance is in the same ballpark as my Tay Tay!

Please guys! Go get laid or something.
-
The voters have spoken. Congrats to all the winners. Let's move on.

implying that Chance is in the same ballpark as my Tay Tay!
They both produce quality works and the "true artists" don't understand their near-universal adulation. What's the difference? ;D
But yeah, Taylor is a bit nicer to look at.

save the drama for your momma.
I dunno how me being nice to about Raiden turned into all this. *shrugs* The is UCA session is over, Im gonna try to look forward to next year.

In the interest of keeping the focus of this thread on the UCA winners, this discussion has moved to PM.
-
PM? Just let it go. This stuff happens every year. There's people mad Lady Gaga's song didn't win an Oscar. Whatever. We're not curing cancer here.

Malenko PM'd me. I replied. No worries.
-
This is why there is an after action thread and we lambaste the moderation of the event and then refuse to do it ourselves the next year. :soapbox: UCA you might want to go ahead and start that thread, pretty sure there will be some pretty healthy mud slinging and I am eager to both defend and attack you. I suggest even taking some of this thread and splitting it off into that discussion, no reason to take away from the winners. Otherwise the awards themselves may lose more of their luster.
The reality is we don't have to like each other to ensure quality builds are recognized here.
I actually think these builds are pretty well done.
-
Congrats to all the winners! Great work!

I completely forgot all about this and the voting, and then find out I was nominated. Thanks guys (",)

I'm a little late to this but just wanted to say congrats to the winners, particularly to edekoning. That was one heck of a build.
-
Raiden deserves a UCA more than I do.
Thanks for the kind words! It was nice to see that cab finally complete. Your TMNT is great! One of the few actual "cabinets" I have nostalgia for (not many arcades around where I grew up, but a Showbiz Pizza birthday party cemented TMNT in my brain forever).
Congrats to all the winners! Lots of excellent projects... hopefully I will have my pinball re-theme done in time for the 2016 competition. (1979 Williams Flash is becoming a 1979 Williams.... Mega Man!)

Thank you to all those who voted for the Any Coin Mech! It's very humbling!
