I plan on building a tabletop cabinet (the one in the image attached) and planned on using a 15" monitor as that is what I currently have on hand. The image shows the plan exactly how it would be built.
However, I am unsure whether this would be too small for 2 players to view? Any thoughts and suggestions would be much appreciated!

It's too small for 1 player.

Yeah, it's too small. What is the interior cabinet width? You can check what would fit using the tool at displaywars.com (http://www.displaywars.com).

Have to agree with the others -- Spend the $50 - $55 and get a larger monitor (something like a Hp LP2065 or Dell 2007FP ) you'll be much happier with the extra screen size. Here (EDIT : guess it would help to actually include the site link :lol http://arrowdirect.com/hp-compaq-na-lp2065-23.html (http://arrowdirect.com/hp-compaq-na-lp2065-23.html) ) is a site that sells refurbished off lease monitors fairly cheap ( hp2065 is in stock for about $50 -$55 (depending on what state you live in and whether they charge tax in that state) shipped using their current free shipping and 13% discount code - " bonus13" )
Figure with a 20" 4:3 monitor you'll get approx 16" x 12" of screen rather than the 12"x9" on the 15" so about 1/3 extra all around which makes quite a difference. For example here is a pic with your included pic and adjusted for the 1/3 extra width and height a 20" monitor would give you - as you can see the 20" screen fills the area much better !!
