With the TurboTwist Hi-Low currently unavailable, would anyone be interested in collaborating on an adapter that would add push-pull functionality to the 'button-hole' spinner controls currently available?
As usual, my daydreams greatly exceed my fabrication abilities, but if you were willing to give up the small footprint of the Spintrak and Turbo Twist spinners, I think it would be possible to come up with a box or frame that would accept the threads of the spinner unit. The box would have a spring, an actuator, and a microswitch each for up and down.
Is anyone interested, could it be done?

I don't think it would be too hard to do, but did you see that Randy is supposedly going to do another run of his push/pull spinners? That would kinda eliminate the need to do what you are proposing, unless you already have a spinner..

Thanks for that. If he has them up for sale within 3 months, I probably won't bother. I see that Kortoga had the same idea. One possible motivation to do it anyway, might be that you could keep your IPAC pin connector, in the case of the SpinTrak, though I have no idea what the TT Hi-Low has for a connector.

The TT hi-low has it's own controller board, so it's just a USB connection.
