Title: Anyone heard of games tipping in an earthquake?
Post by: monkeybomb on February 23, 2016, 06:37:48 pm
I recently moved my jamma cabinet into the house and it's where my kids play.  It's a unique piece of furniture because it's so top heavy.  I was just wondering if anyone had any experience with earthquakes and arcade games.

For what it's worth, in the Northridge '94 earthquake the china cabinet wasn't secured to the wall.  It vibrated out about 3 feet from the wall like the little electric football players.  A couple of friends had theirs secured and it just ripped from the wall.  They lost their china, we didn't.
